Exciting New Role For Kate
KATE Jackson has joined the Sue Carson Saddles team as saddle fitter and distributor for North of England and Scotland.
Based in Northumberland, Kate grew up in Leeds with four sisters all who ride. Kate has been riding and owned horses since she was 10-years-old.
After leaving college she spent three years teaching at the Harrogate Equestrian Centre before leaving to concentrate on her own horses specialising in young and problem horses. She also competes in show jumping, dressage and showing.
Kate worked in the financial sector for more than 10 years, but longed to combine her passions for horses with a career. Working as a saddle fitter and distributor for Sue Carson Saddles provides the perfect solution.
Said Kate: “My passion lies in bringing on young horses that know nothing to progressing them to the competition arena. I find this part of the training scales both rewarding and fascinating as all the horses I have owned have such different personalities, this is where I believe the Sue Carson Saddles fit in perfectly as they are made to fit each individual horse as no two horses are the same!”
Kate has now decided to concentrate on dressage and trains with Chrissie Havis RDO for British Dressage. She is currently competing her own Kaprico Vinny who came to her in 2007.
In her first year competing Vinny has proved unbeatable with her highlight being asked to represent both her country and the Northern Region at the British Dressage Senior Home International Competition.
Said Kate: “I am delighted to be part of the Sue Carson Saddles team. I hope to be able to help people achieve that perfect partnership. The ability to fit each saddle to an individual horse and rider so they are able to work completely as a team is for me the ultimate aim.”
