General Questions

  • Are the saddles adjustable?

Yes! All of our saddles are built on wood lamiated trees which can be narrowed or widen by your fitter on site at your appointment. The air flocking system also allows for a fit and a halves worth of adjustment meaning the saddles are very adjustable. They can even be moved between horses!

  • What are the saddles made from?

All of our saddles are made on traditional wood laminated tree. The leather is sourced from high quality tanneries, we use Italian Calf and Olympia leather.

  • How do I find my saddles serial number?

On the majority of our saddles the serial number is stamped on the inside of the flap. It is often a four digit number.

If you are unable to find your serial number just get in touch.

  • What is Air Flocking?

  • What is the benefit of using air flocking?

Flair creates a gaseous and totally flexible layer in your saddle.

This removes pressure points and increases the sensitivity of the horse to your lower back aids whilst also providing shock absorption for the horse when jumping or engaged in sitting trot (gases can be compressed whilst liquids, gels and solids cannot).

Flair allows your horse to move naturally as the muscles of the back and shoulder are no longer restricted by your saddle's panel.

  • Why is air more comfortable than other flocked panels?

Flair is more comfortable for both horse and rider and provides the following benefits:

Gives your horse greater comfort by...

    - Removing the pressure points of your saddle.

    - Increasing the bearing surface offered by the saddle's panel.

    - Continually flexing and moulding to the horse's shape as the back and shoulder muscles work unrestricted.

    - Absorbing impact shock from the rider.

    - Increasing ventilation by negating the need for the use of a numnah.

    Benefits the rider by...

    - Increasing the sensitivity of the lower back and seat aides so providing a closer feel between horse rider.

    - Requiring no alteration or maintenance on regular basis.

    - Absorbs jarring shock to the rider's lower back.

  • What makes air better for my horse?

Flair benefits the horse by doing the following:

    - Removing the pressure points of your saddle.

    - Increasing the bearing surface offered by the saddle's panel

    - Continually flexing and moulding to the horse's shape as the back and shoulder muscles work unrestricted.
