Meet Jonna!
I am the owner of JoLa Saddlery (JoLa Sadelmakeri) in Sweden.
My passion for horses began at a very young age. I started riding as a child and received my first pony in 1973, when I was just three years old. My father, an engineer with a deep love for animals, was meticulous when it came to saddle fitting. Long before saddle fitting became widely recognised, he was already adapting saddles and even making felt pads to improve wither clearance - an approach that undoubtedly inspired my own career.
I have always had a passion for fine leatherwork and traditional craftsmanship. After studying leatherwork, I went on to qualify as a Master Saddle Fitting Consultant in France, specialising in saddle fitting and equine biomechanics. I also hold a Diploma from the Society of Master Saddlers (UK) in flocking and saddle repair, combining technical expertise with practical craftsmanship.
My riding background is primarily in show jumping, breaking and producing young horses. I have always enjoyed working with the more sensitive and quirky characters, although these days I prefer to leave the youngsters to someone else!
My aim is to provide every horse and rider with the best possible conditions to train, develop and perform together. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing my clients achieve their goals, whether at home or in competition, knowing that I have played a part in their success.
